Statement from Raphael Frascogna, CEO of The Paul Canoville Foundation:
I want to share a brief update on our Founder, Paul Canoville.
Paul was recently admitted to hospital following a serious decline in his physical health, which also impacted his mental well-being. It’s been a challenging time for him, especially missing recent school visits, the Show Racism the Red Card reception at Downing Street, and the premiere of the new documentary about his life, which took place last night at Regent Street Cinema.
Although Paul couldn’t attend, the premiere was a resounding success — a powerful celebration of his journey that deeply moved everyone present.
We’re relieved and encouraged to say Paul has shown significant improvement this week, and we’re hopeful he’ll be able to return home soon to continue his recovery.
Thank you to everyone who has sent messages of support and love — your kindness has meant the world. Paul hopes to thank you all personally once he’s stronger.
In the meantime, we kindly ask that messages be directed through the Foundation, as he focuses on his recovery.

Smashing it Canners. Keep going 💙
